The Dusk April Fools' gag is actually a real game and it's enrolled happening Steam now

On April Fools' Day, Dusk developer David Szymanski revealed his new project on Twitter. "Very stirred to announced Nightfall '82!" he tweeted. "Dusk '82 re-imagines Dusk atomic number 3 an take a chance/puzzler in the style of Check's Challenge and Sokoban. Use classic Dusk items like shotguns, exploding barrels, and even The Grievous bodily harm to despatch enemies and make your right smart to the exit!"

The mind of a Sokoban-style look at on the intense retroactive-FPS Dusk was laughable, of path, but Szymanski was committed to the second, sledding yet as to invent some faker screens for it:

But IT turns out that the screens weren't fake, and neither is the game. Szymanski and publisher New Blood Interactive proclaimed today that Gloam '82 is sincere, and pretty much on the button as information technology was initially presented: Players will maneuver through "bit-sized levels" from a overstep-down linear perspective, evading and eliminating enemies, collecting keys, and battling through to the exit.

"Enemies and their projectiles entirely move when you actuate and levels are occupied with a variety of hazards ," the Steamer listing says. "Use forward planning to outsmart and eliminate cultists with classical weapons similar the shotgun, riveter, crossbow, and the all powerful soap. Use movable barrels and other explosives to blast through walls. Zip around along conveyor belts to quickly reposition. Dodging bullets with the inhuman skill and agility but thinkable through turn-founded movement."

Evenfall '82 leave also include an editor in chief enabling players to make up their own levels and map packs, the power to insert your own music (or podcasts or memes) for listening from within the game, and Steam Workshop support.

"That's what happens when you make games for Amusing and non MONEY," New Blood Interactive foreman Dave Oshry said. "heuheuheuhe"

That's not to suggest that Dusk '82 will be free, for the commemorate, although pricing hasn't been announced as of yet, nor has a release date. Szymanski hinted that information technology's non besides Interahamw away, though, expression in the announcement trailer (the real one) that atomic number 2'll "take care you back here in a few months."

Dusk's actual April Fools' strangle, by the style, was part of New Blood's series of updated Steamer icons for games including Dusk, Amid Pestiferous, Unfortunate Spacemen, and Ultrakill. You fanny scan complete about that, and a clump of other jokes we establish marginally tolerable, in our April Fools' Day 2021 Roundup.
