Great casino. We stayed in the RV park and information technology was perfect. In the casino we were pleased to run across everyone was wearing a mask. There were plastic dividers between slot machines so nosotros felt very safe. Practiced food too. What more could anyone ask for. Nosotros'll stay longer next fourth dimension.

Almost no sounds at all, merely a speaker in the middle of the casino playing music that sounded like I turned my PC computer speaker all the style up. This was a marvelous place. I was hoping that there would exist a skillful deal more to the museum than there was and the historical context of why many of the objects were in the museum was missing. The cafe was small, only the people were friendly and helpful! The bout is the virtually interesting piece of your feel here, our tour guide was very prissy and repose knowledgeable. The Pueblos are still occupied past people from the local tribe, although many are newer dwellings than the aboriginal dwellings I was picturing. Do be prepared to see many of the local Acoma people on your route around the Pueblos equally your guide takes you past all the local pottery vendors homes with their pottery outside for purchase. I would definitely recommend coming hither if you've never been here before, the building is beautiful and the people were very friendly; but I'm not sure information technology is worth more than i visit unless y'all go on one of their festival days. The views from the height of the Pueblos were extremely picturesque!

Actually really well organized and beautiful exhibit on the history and cultural of the Pueblo people. They have obviously put a lot of endeavor into preserving their space and civilisation. We spent about 2 hours here, and it was a very educational experience. The tour guide was great. All of the staff and vendors are very friendly and willing to reply any questions, and it was a smashing experience to visit. If you're in the area and accept a morning complimentary, I definitely recommend stooping by!

Super cool! Very underrated museum, in my opinion. If yous're staying in ABQ, information technology's definitely worth the i hr bulldoze to see. It's quite a pocket-sized building, I didn't call back there would be much inside, merely I was very incorrect. Information technology's 2 stories, with the top one having plenty of different minerals, mining tools and the history most them, a movie theatre, and even a section for ancient Native American artifacts such equally arrowheads, pottery, and buttons. The bottom floor is what really makes this museum different- you take the elevator down and it opens up to a replica mineshaft, they fifty-fifty have a gate you have to open when y'all exit the elevator! They did a very good job creating this mine replica- not only does information technology look and experience like a existent ane, but you tin can even olfactory property the oils from the mining equipment. Very well washed. Their gift store selection is a fiddling modest I would like to add, merely that's not a huge deal in my opinion. Overall, this is a great place for adults and children alike.

Cute footling museum, they take a small little shop with a few nick nacks for purchase. This place is very cheap, I went with 1 other adult and 2 kids and paid xi bucks to see it. Only drove through on the highway, just it was very beautiful. I had to finish a couple times for photos. Lovely rock formations rise above you, sprouting from the sage plains.

Visiting the bluffs was much better this time around! Last time information technology was so windy that the sand and dirt painfully whipped our skin, simply it was a still and clear 24-hour interval. Love being able to gratuitous climb the rocks without any clear trail. Simply wish I had more time to read a book amongst the rocks

Very surprising allure a brusque half solar day trip away from Albuquerque. One pays at the lodge past the parking lot, and proceeds to hike to the volcano/ice cave. The hike itself is like shooting fish in a barrel and the trail is maintained. The volcano is unique from what I've seen in other places of the world. What really sets this place autonomously is the ice cave. The temperature when we went was around 80f outside, but walking into the caves was quite incredible. It's not a marketing gimmick and quite interesting to see. The museum portion indoors is a bit underwhelming, but that's not the main describe. The cost is 12 dollars with a disbelieve for certain people; quite reasonable.

This is a very neat phenomenon and a cool thing to practice. Nosotros stopped and spent about an hour hiking upward to the volcano crater, so downwardly the lava catamenia and into the cavern. They give you a fiddling pamphlet with diverse points of interest along the road. The hike isn't besides strenuous, though I would definitely recommend good shoes. It'south loose rock and dirt all the way upward. There's too a neat little museum with things they constitute in the dwellings by the volcanic vents inside the gift shop. The staff is very nice and the toilets are quite clean for chemical toilets. It loses one star because the price labels in the souvenir shop and the actual price I paid didn't quite lucifer up. What should have been $xviii.50 with revenue enhancement became $24 somehow. Non worth fighting about just a little disappointing.

Walk to come across Bandera has a couple tough inclines but Wal is very prissy. Benches on the way up to rest. Water ice cavern is awesome but stairs are steep and can be a challenge to go downwards. Overall was a place I would recommend. Nature at its best!

Beautiful and very clean. Paid $24/dark. Had a very quiet and secluded lot over looking the lake. We were there two days during the week and few others around. Very tranquillity and peaceful. There was a overnice trail by the lake. Picnic table and fire band was provided. Merely a few miles off the I-40. Pads are level and cement. Lots of trees and shade. No hookups but a very clean outhouse type bathroom, showers and dumpster provided.

Pros: . Pretty mountainous lake area with adept roads. . Electric hook-up sites were $14.00 and relatively level. These sites did not have water or sewer. . Not overly crowded. . Showers. . A couple of pretty nice trails through the canyon and out to the dam. Cons: . All-time view sites of the lake and canyon do not have claw-ups only practice take a fire ring and picnic table. . But one affluent toilet site open at forepart of campground. Remaining bathrooms were vault toilets. . Barely warm showers at front of campground on very brusque timer push button. Overall, I would recommend this identify and would return. 4 star rating is considering of the showers.

Beautiful! Rangers and Gate volunteers are helpful and friendly. Clean restrooms. Lots of trails. One circumspection though, if you go along the scenic view trail for the dam, be an experienced hiker! It starts out piece of cake, merely about 7/viii of the way, but before the terminate, the trail gets skinnier, more rugged and you offset to climb at a steep angle. I had to turn around and go dorsum.

I of the nigh pristine, historical and well maintained parks we have ever been to. Inscription trail was amazing..the numbered markers provided excellent information most the many travelers that visited over the centuries...Definitely go in the forenoon, the light on the sheer cliffs is spectacular. Park rangers were VERY helpful and knowledgeable almost the park and the surrounding expanse.

Bang-up National Monument, sometimes it seems that the smaller ones are better. No crowds great views and some crawly history. It was so cool to see all of the carvings from Native Americans to Knights in the Castilian army to Civil War captains. Great place to visit. So super cool!

Spectacular! Tin't miss this. Took one of the most extraordinary hikes always... Stunningly beautiful. The trail winds effectually Inscription rock where you run into petroglyphs, and inscriptions from the Conquistadors, and other soldiers, scientists etc. so winds around to top the top of Inscription rock where at that place are ruins of an ancient Pueblo, but what comes after, is the all-time surprise...

I gave this campground simply outside Gallup NM a 5 star because the scenery is gorgeous and its like shooting fish in a barrel admission from I 40 . We only spent 1 night just there are folks who live hither which sorta gave the feel of being in the movie Nomad country. The bath we used was clean and it had showers and a large heating unit which kept it warm on a 24 degree morning. They used to keep them locked but too many people kept the keys so now they are supposed to be open. Leaving in the morn we discovered them locked just one of the locals had the keys to open up both for us. We didn't see a host or anyone who worked there during our visit. The site we booked online was already taken past a long term renter but she told usa to simply use the next door site and she moved the tent someone had left there 3 weeks ago and it was fine. She told us at that place are wild horses but we didn't encounter any. There's a hike from the campground to Church building Rock. We started late in the evening and then only got halfway but it was worthwhile. At that place are facilities for ppl traveling with their horses. At that place is also the Church Rock NM post ofc on site ! This park is operated past the urban center of Gallup

Red Rock RV park was safe and quite for an overnight stay. The negative points are ...It was not exactly clear where the role to check in is. There are 2 devious dogs roaming the whole military camp site which made information technology difficult to take out our senior domestic dog. We accept a heated water hose only in the morning the h2o from the well was frozen so we paid for frozen h2o. Since it had snowed the day before the ground was a muddy mess or frozen ice to walk on. The positive side is the view was beautiful red rocks. We finally had a camp without a train or highway traffic. Information technology was likewise so dark you could see all the stars in the heaven. The price is currently $25 a night for h2o, electricity and 2 dump stations. Bathrooms could use some updating. If yous are traveling with horses there is a place to board them as well.

This place is of a wonderful energy , cute to walk during the day on November , I can't imagine how hot information technology could get in the summertime . The museum appears to be airtight for renovation until Apr 2022. This information is based on asking the staff in the buffet beneath. The museum itself was locked and didn't have any signs listing when it would reopen. Hopefully we tin can encounter it next fourth dimension!

I love the Gallup flea marketplace! I beloved to walk around and consume and see people. The curly chips are my favorite and we always buy tamales. This year, I take noticed that the venders accept a new creative energy. At that place are and so many new astonishing things! 💜

School broad field trip. Love that the museum is close to the zoo. Ben was our "guide" who gave suggestions and acted equally a semi-guide. No guided tours since the cut off is fifth grade and up. People were working while we were there so it was like a regular mean solar day. Souvenir store, galleries, offices, auditoriums are all within. We were able to walk around ourselves and accept our time. Very clean, quiet, and the restrooms were clean and in working order. For me, there could've been more history of the Navajo people, not simply the Long Walk and Code talkers. I'll go back to explore more on my own.

Blue Mesa has become my favourite place we've visitied in a road trip in the US, amazing and magical identify. Breathtaking colors, couldn't get plenty of information technology!

What a interesting place. Institute inside the National Petrified Forest Park. The history of the inn and the pictures in it'due south hey twenty-four hour period are worth the terminate....plus the views, they are astonishing. Make sure if you are touring this park that you take the time to stop here. It's gratuitous to get inside, but they do take donations to help with it's upkeep.

The Petrified Forest has some the most unique vistas probably not seen anywhere else. The hotel is probably my favorite office, merely then I like historical buildings. Very well preserved with really cool early 20th century southwest compages. Smashing history. Fun fact: The entire hotel's structure is actually petrified wood, which is why it's and then lumpy!

Really absurd store with a squeamish parking space for RV'southward with electrical hookup (for a fee). As a bonus the skies hither are the darkest I've ever seen and so if you're into stargazing and/or astrophotography this is a neat location.

Nosotros arrived an hr and 15 minutes earlier endmost and we're planning on purchasing pottery pieces, and possibly some squeamish pieces of petrified wood. However, while making our last selection, the woman yells out…"If you're shopping get out, if your ownership, check out chop-chop so I tin become dwelling house." This was still an hour earlier posted closing time. I put back my purchases and left because of the rudeness. As we exited the gate to enter/exit was locked so nosotros had to wait for Ms.. Pleasant to allow us out.

Loved the car in the parking lot! Got some cute pics of it. The "free" piece of Petrified Forest is a joke...Lost mine but not mad about it. Too expensive. Left quicky. Don't waste your time there. Go merely to come across the car!

Such a beautiful place!! I could spend all 24-hour interval hither! In that location is a big multifariousness of petrified wood and a good mix ox Gems and minerals. Even jewelry made from them. And then I found their outside area. Omg, huge amount of geode's to pick from also as a few other large stones. Like pink quarts and even mint colors too. I need to go back like all the time now.

This was one of my highlights of my trip. I recommend visiting AFTER y'all go through the National Park, so you have an appreciation for the setting. The store has a wide suite of rocks & fossils for sale, and as well specimens yous can view that are non for sale. Equally a geologist, I really enjoyed just walking around and looking at rocks - lots of rocks polished and raw and carved. My merely regret was that the staff were friendly, but not "experts" in the rocks in the store - I was hoping the person who compiled this wonderful drove would be at that place. WORTH STOPPING IN. I ended upwardly ownership three items at about $50 each and having the shop send them directly to my home - they were friendly and helpful and fabricated the aircraft like shooting fish in a barrel as they handled it straight for the toll of shipping. Wish I could return with my wife and again with my grandkids (or wish I could have brought my kids when they were young). Simply to walk around all of their inventory outside is astonishing in itself, just the within is fifty-fifty more fun.

I checked iv stores for petrified forest. This place had the biggest selection and all-time prices. Other shops were three-4x more. And the staff was very friendly.
