The reason the sand is only launched when its falling is considering when its falling it becomes an entity, not a block. This is the same reason tnt is launched when ignited besides (ignited tnt is an entity).

Its unlikely, just I wonder if this would piece of work on any cake beingness moved by a piston as well.

What if there was some kind of gravity enchantment, working similar to silk touch, except making all blocks nerveless to behave similar sand/gravel when put in earth filigree?

You could have sand wars! Fling sand at the other players launcher to mess upwards the water source cake so they tin't launch back. TNT could fly just far enough to blow upwards every bit it reached the h2o. If you lot protect the water with cobble the TNT can explode but it can't arrive enough to actually land and remove the water source block. Therefore yous will need sand to fill up in the water slot. The objective would exist to eliminate more sand cannons than your opponent. Probably take about 5 each. You could fifty-fifty identify teams by having i side be sand and the other exist gravel! (dunno if this is possible, just an idea)

cool video, never idea about making the sand bounce between cannons. to everyone saying its been done already: NO SH*T nosotros have had sand/gravel cannons since at that place was TNT, sand, slabs and redstone, pistons just gave the ability to automate the process.

Could be used to make redstone current travel long distance very fast, I suppose.

I don't remember sand moves through the air faster than redstone current moves through wire/repeaters, however it does require far less wiring (and only works once).

I was mycommentaccount1911, and i did brand it then that when you practise it, it launches the sand to a powered repeater to open up a door. its fun :P

Using a cart corner push, a invisible canon activator was easy to build. Non certain how to take it from there. This is a fun tool though. Thanks for sharing!
